Truly designed like a JQuery Plug-in, soon available in standalone and in most common CMS (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla…) to leverage on the users experience within these content management tools. The technology 3WDOC is designed as a Software as a Service (SaaS) and operated like a web service like most of the common web application available on the Web. The 3WDOC technology delivers both for creation and displays a pure web experience in a modern browser.
3wdoc Studio is supported by CNC and Oséo.
  • The agency: A dedicated team to creation and production of customized web documentary, both in Flash/Flex and HTML5/Javacsript.
  • The blog: A technological watch website of information about the last experiences made into the area of rich media experiences and narration.

The webagency Hecube was created in 2004 to assist companies, content providers, authors and creators in the field of web technologies to manage and increase their digital fame. The strong skills of its founders in areas such as website ergonomics and user experience, creation of visual identity and websites and applications development for the web has given to Hecube an extended expertise.

The agency has never ceased to getting specialize in creating rich interfaces (RIA) particularly for the medias sector (TV channel, Press group, TV Producers…).

It is therefore natural that our agency has been early interested in the format, which is now usually called webdocumentary. The webdocumentary is a logical extension of principles already active on the Internet, which as web experts, we are familiar with. We believe that the webdocumentary is dedicated to becoming the next few years, one of the most popular types of content over the Internet.
The webdocumentary participates in the consecration of new usages and new platforms to consume cultural and information services.

The webdocumentary is now a natural relay to traditional media such as television or photo journalism. The trend that emerges is the advent of multimedia on the web coupled with a consumption of information both passive and active.

People between 15-35 years are primarily Internet users. They choose their own sources of information and are now extremely volatile, news and even culture are consumed “on demand” at any time and anywhere. This movement of the audience in time and space is a new requirement, which has to be taken into account by traditional media and new media.

At a time when knowledge is just a click away and there is a plethora of programs, it is essential to meet the needs of storytelling and interactivity. It is necessary to make the difference in the quality and sophistication of the experience delivered to the user.

The webdocumentary, in its evolved form, allows the viewer to conduct itself his/her own investigation, to make his/her own choices, to display a map to better understand the issues and then make it disappear immediately, select on menus in order to choose the sequences or on the contrary to be guided by the narration wanted by the author. The Web documentary lays groundwork for the hyper-storytelling.

The depth of the webdocumentary is infinite and unlimited in time and in the amount of information. Its consumption has no limits too. These features give to this format unprecedented educational and encyclopedic qualifications.

The webdocumentary is not a new genre. Mixing different media, from photography to video through the sound and text, this type of reporting has existed for over ten years. However this is only 2 or 3 years that the technology offers a true potential. It enable an easier production and a greater adoption by the audience.

Webdocumentary techniques allow photographers to support their photos in another way. By combining still images and a soundtrack, it is possible to convey a strong message, completely tailored to what users are now looking for.

Falling advertising revenue and therefore the budgets allocated to traditional documentary forcing industry players to open up to other forms of expression more direct and more flexible. The Web documentary presents a potential market with a maturity term could be a source of compensation and rights for creators and authors with whom our agency works on a daily basis. The advent of the web documentary is as such an upheaval in the ecosystem traditional audiovisual production and photo agencies in particular.

With a constantly growing audience, it is undoubtedly a growth driver for the entire audiovisual industry, the photo agencies and the web industry as a whole. It demonstrates the artistic and technical convergence between these sectors and the Internet. This is the place of our webagency.

The web documentary, it is the emergence of a truly multimedia creation, complete with photos, sounds, videos, texts. This genre also revolutionized the narrative and how to process and deliver content by creating a whole new intimacy with any kind of subject. The webdoc is finally the only medium able to ensure the coherence of a story while incorporating a multitude of perspectives and interactions.
