We’ve almost finished the programming of 3WDOC Studio new version! The V2, as we call it (V2 stands for Version 2), is the result of exchanges between 3WDOC coreteam and many of our +1.500 Beta-users.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for testing our software and giving us their feedback. It has been very useful in order to improve our tool and match as best as possible with our users needs. This was one of the main reasons we made our Beta version public.
As the release of 3WDOC new version is near, we would like to present briefly the improvements of our program to the rising community of 3WDOC users, a creative and demanding community which pushes us to produce and deliver the best tool possible.
You will soon drag and drop your elements from the media bin to the drawer ! In this efficient interface, you will create your sequences very intuitively. Building your sequences will be more dynamic and much quicker. 3WDOC will offer you the best user-experience ever in your browser for rich media storytelling.
The V2 will offer you a REAL WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) experience. In the Editor, the drawer will show your elements (photo, video, text…), not just a color symbolic representation, like the Beta did. You will work much quicker and comfortably this way. You will also be able to resize your elements in the drawer and move them easily within the frame.
Our new upload tool is an easy to use, hi-performance solution which allows you to upload multiple files to 3WDOC web servers, without refreshing the page. Work quicker, save time ! You can also cancel running file uploads or add new files during uploading. The V2 will provide rich progress and status information during the upload.
You now will encode any kind of video and audio files, on the fly, to high-resolution files and stream it with the best quality ever for HTML5 format. You won’t have to bother anymore with converting your audio and video files. Just upload your raw files and 3WDOC Studio will convert them automatically for you, delivering the best quality ever. Forget about learning all technical converting details, just focus on your creation :) 3WDOC Studio will also provide for all your video an auto make thumbnails.
Make your story richer : you will now easily mix contents from the web ! Youtube and Dailymotion videos, Flickr photos, Soundcloud audio files, Google maps, Twitter feeds and texts from Scribd will be immediately available in your studio, through natively implemented APIs. More and more APIs will be available in the updates of 3WDOC Studio… :)
Because 3WDOC is a SaaS (Software as a Service), a browser-based app, not a desktop software, you can let your friends or collaborators work on your projects. You can manage easily the process of co-creation directly in your studio. Work collaboratively, create together ! This was already true in the Beta version but it works even better in the V2 !
Choosing 3WDOC Studio will let you create in HTML5 for WebKit browsers and touchscreen mobile devices. This was already true in the Beta, but we improved it in the V2 : your productions will perfectly display on an iPad, or any mobile device ! Everybody is going mobile, why shouldn’t you ?
